BOSTON— Northeastern women's hockey head coach
Dave Flint has announced the addition of seven incoming freshmen ahead of the 2023-24 season. The group includes Ella Blackmore, Mady Cipolla, Peyton Compton, Rylie Jones, Alexandra Lalonde, Ellie Mabardy and Mattie Robitzer.
Â
"We are excited to welcome our newest group of Huskies to Huntington Avenue this fall," remarked Flint. "This year's class brings championships, international level medals and a wealth of big-game experience to help us continue to push our program forward. We will be adding high-end skill, scoring ability, grit and bolstering our already impressive depth, at all positions. We expect all seven of our incoming first year players to have a positive and immediate impact on our team both on and off the ice."
Â
The freshmen will join graduate transfer Becca Vanstone as newcomers ahead of this coming season. The group will add to a talented Huskies roster that is coming off of a sixth-straight Hockey East Championship and third-straight Frozen Four appearance.
