BOSTON— Ten student-athletes from the Northeastern men's and women's hockey teams earned AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar Honors as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).

For the men,
Jackson Dorrington,
Devon Levi and
Grant Riley were honored, while
Megan Carter,
Katy Knoll,
Alina Mueller,
Maureen Murphy,
Gwyneth Philips,
Lily Shannon and
Taze Thompson claimed honors for the women.

To qualify as an All-American Scholar, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.

Of note are the 13 athletes who not only earned this academic status but were also voted as CCM/AHCA All-Americans for their on-ice play. Of the 13 athletes to earn both honors, three of them were Huskies, including
Devon Levi,
Alina Mueller and
Gwyneth Philips. Â
