BOSTON – The Northeastern men's soccer team has announced its 2023 season schedule, featuring 17 total matches, including eight home matches at Parsons Field in Brookline.
The season officially begins on August 24
th as Northeastern travels to UMass for a Thursday afternoon match up at 4 p.m. The following Monday, August 28
th, the Huskies open up Parsons Field for the first time this season to host UMass-Lowell at 6 p.m.
Northeastern opens up conference play in its third match of the season, traveling to Wilmington, N.C. to face UNCW on Saturday, September 2
nd with a kickoff time currently scheduled at 7 p.m. The Huskies' first CAA match in Brookline this year will be the following weekend, September 9
th against College of Charleston at 6 p.m.
Also on the CAA schedule this season is William & Mary, Campbell, and Monmouth on the road – the meeting between the Huskies and the Camels of Campbell will be the first in program history.
The Huskies play five of their eight home matches in the month of October, including conference foes Elon (Oct. 7, 2 p.m.) and Hofstra (Oct. 28, 6 p.m.) and non-conference opponents New Hampshire (Oct. 3, 6 p.m.), Bryant (Oct. 10, 6 p.m.) and Rutgers (Oct. 21, 2 p.m.). The October 21
st matchup with Rutgers will also be a program-first for the Huskies.
Northeastern will also face off with local rivals Harvard (Sep. 12, 7 p.m.) and Boston University (Oct. 17, Time TBD) on the road this season.
Northeastern finished as the fourth seed in the CAA tournament in 2022, which was the team's fourth tournament appearance in the last five seasons. The Huskies posted a 4-4-1 CAA record and a 3-2-3 record at Parsons Field.
