THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- THE LEAGUE TABLE: Saturday's contest with UNCW is Northeastern's first game of its CAA schedule. The Huskies were picked to finish fifth in the league, which would be a repeat of their 2022 finish. UNCW was selected to finish third, with one first place vote. UNCW took the regular season meeting between the two teams last season with a 1-0 victory at Parsons Field.
- TELLEZ TRIO: Northeastern tallied three goals in its opening two games - all three goals featured Federico Tellez as an assist on the scoresheet. He's up to 20 career assists, the fourth-most in program history.
- KEEP FIGHTING: All three of Northeastern's goals this season have come with a one-goal deficit, serving as the equalizer in the contest. The Huskies came back twice from a one-goal deficit against UMass in the season opener to draw the Minutemen 2-2. The last time the Huskies faced off with Quinnipiac, they also fought back from down 0-1 and 1-2 to force a draw with the Bobcats at Parsons Field last season. NU returners Tobias Wangerud and Zach Sauer linked up for the opening goal on a free kick.
After a quick two-game road stint, the Huskies return home Saturday, September 9th for their first CAA home game of the season, as they face the College of Charleston at 6pm at Parsons Field.
