Women’s Soccer Hosts Boston University

BOSTON— In the middle of a five-game homestand, the Northeastern women's soccer team will welcome its crosstown rivals, the Boston University Terriers to Parsons Field on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. The game will be available live on NESN+ and FloFC.

A fan bus will leave from Forsyth Street at 5:30 p.m. for fans traveling from campus.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. LET'S RECAP: The Huskies are coming off of a 3-1 victory over Eastern Michigan at Parsons Field. Against the Eagles, Megan Putvinski, Sofie Fox and Alexis Legowski all recorded goals, while Holland Stam posted five saves in goal. Jessie Hunt leads Northeastern with three assists just four games into the season.
  2. SERIES REWIND: Northeastern posted a 1-0 victory over the Terriers in its season opening victory in 2022. Alexis Legowski scored the lone goal of the game to deliver the Huskies a win last season. The Huskies own a 7-14-1 overall record against Boston University. NU is looking for its first win over BU at Parsons Field since 2018 in Sunday's matchup.
  3. SCOUTING THE TERRIERS: The Terriers enter this matchup at 2-2-1 on the season, most recently dropping a 3-0 decision at No. 20 Northwestern. Both of Boston University's wins this season have come at home for the Terriers, while they are 0-2 on the road. The Terriers have four different goal scorers so far this season and Celia Braun has played every minute in goal.
The Huskies will open CAA play against UNCW on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. at Parsons Field.
