CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Northeastern field hockey team (4-3) fell 5-1 Sunday afternoon to the No. 15 Harvard Crimson (4-2) at Berylson Family Field.
- Graduate student midfielder Lauren Rowe scored the Huskies' lone goal off a corner, her sixth of the season.
- Rowe was assisted by senior forward Sarah Coyle and junior midfielder Maria Armaganian. It was Coyle's team-leading sixth assist of the season and Armaganian's second of the year.
- Junior goaltender Kristina Merashoff made eight saves, tying the career high for the Towson, Maryland native.
- The Crimson got on the board first, scoring after centering a pass to a gaggle of Harvard players and squeaking the ball into the cage, making it 1-0 2:30 into the second quarter.
- Harvard added four goals in the fourth quarter to take a 5-1 advantage, its final tally coming as time expired.
The Huskies have a few days to recover and remain on the road next weekend as they travel to William & Mary Friday, Sept. 22 for their first CAA matchup streaming on FloSports and stay in Virginia to play VCU Sunday, Sept. 24, streaming on ESPN+.
