BOSTON - The Northeastern University men's soccer team (3-2-2) returns home to face CAA foe Stony Brook (2-3-1) at Parsons Field in Brookline this Saturday, September 23 at 5 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloFC.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- DROPPING DIMES: Federico Tellez continues to lead the CAA with six assists on the year. His assist total currently ranks fourth in the NCAA. Tellez comes into the weekend with the team lead in points after his game-winning goal at Harvard last Tuesday.
- THE POINTS MATTER: Northeastern comes into the weekend tied for third in the CAA standings with four points (1-1-1). Stony Brook currently sits at the top of the table with a 2-0-1 conference record and seven points after handing Delaware its first loss of the season. Charleston holds the lone second-place spot with five points (1-0-2), while Northeastern is tied with Delaware (1-1-1), and Drexel (1-1-1) to round out the top five.
- WE'RE COMING HOME: The Huskies return home for just their third home game of the season - of their eight games played this year, six of them have been away from Parsons Field. Northeastern holds a 3-1-1 record away from home this season, and have one loss and one draw in their home record so far. Six of Northeastern's remaining ten regular season games will be played at home.
After another midweek break the Huskies head back on the road for their first-ever match up with CAA newcomer Campbell. The Huskies head to Buies Creek, N.C. for a meeting with the Camels next Saturday, September 30th at 7 p.m. on FloFC.
