Emilia Adragna scored twice and senior forward
Mak Graves recorded a goal and two assists to lead the Northeastern field hockey team (5-5, 1-1 CAA) to a road conference win over the Towson Tigers (4-6, 0-3 CAA) Friday afternoon at the Towson Field Hockey Complex.
- The Huskies got on the board early, as Emilia Adragna fired home a shot off an assist from freshman forward Alex Mega 5:39 into the first quarter.
- Later that period, sophomore forward Emmy Stubbs made it 2-0 off a tip-in on a corner, her first goal this year.
- The Tigers struck back in the second quarter, even though the Huskies outshot them 8-3 in the period.
- In the third, Mega scored a goal herself thanks to an assist from Graves. It was Mega's fifth goal of the season, good for second on the team behind graduate student Lauren Rowe's seven tallies.
- Adragna's second goal came just over a minute later, as she scored on another rocket off an assist from Graves 5:13 into the third quarter.
- Graves' score came at 7:51 in the fourth quarter, as she scored on a corner and was assisted by sophomore back Maya Prasad and graduate student back Cailin Hart. It was Prasad's first collegiate point.
- The final goal was a tip-in from junior forwars Lilly Smith off a shot by sophomore forward Anna-Kate Domingue to make it 6-1 with just over five minutes remaining.
The Huskies head back from Maryland this evening and will play at crosstown rival Boston University Sunday, Oct. 1 with the pass back scheduled for 1 p.m. It will be streaming on both ESPN+ and NESN+.
