NARRAGANSETT, R.I. — The Northeastern women's swim and dive team took part in the 14th annual Swim Across America Saturday afternoon at Roger Wheeler State Beach. The Huskies' swimmers swam the one-mile course while the divers swim the half-mile course.
Swim Across America is an organization that raises money through hosting benefit swims to fund cancer research and clinical trials. The Rhode Island Open Water Swim benefits cancer research, prevention and treatment at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
Northeastern has raised $9,193 to date and the Rhode Island Open Water Swim as a whole has raised $266,893.
