Williams Earns Second Player Of The Week Accolade

AMESBURY, Mass. — For the second time this season, sophomore Jack Williams has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week, marking his third career honor from the league.

Williams recorded his first career hat trick to lead the Huskies to a 4-3 victory over Minnesota Duluth en route to the championship game of the 2023 Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off. The Biddeford, Maine native brought Northeastern back from a two-goal deficit in the second period, before completing his hat trick with the overtime game-winning goal. Additionally, Williams finished with three shots and went 14-19 on faceoff attempts.

The assistant captain currently ranks second among all Northeastern skaters with 17 points on the season from nine goals and eight assists. Williams has recorded 14 points (8g, 6a) in his last seven outings for a 2.0 points per game.

Williams and the Huskies return from the semester break and open 2024 with a home contest against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 5 p.m.
