BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (4-8, 0-2 CAA) will look to get back to its winning ways this weekend, facing UNCW (2-11, 0-2 CAA) on the road on Friday, January 12 at 7 p.m., and then will return home to host Hofstra (7-6, 1-1 CAA) on Sunday, January 14 at 2 p.m. Friday's contest will stream on FloHoops, and Sunday's will be on NESN/FloHoops.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – Derin Erdogan tallied a team-high 27 points, but the Drexel Dragons used a big third quarter to take down the Huskies on Sunday afternoon at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Erdogan had a stellar day, notching 18 of her points in the second half, and finished 10-of-18 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three. Deja Bristol also headlined the Huskies with 12 points and seven rebounds.
- HEATING UP – Over the past three games, the Huskies are averaging 72.7 points per game. Erdogan has been pacing Northeastern's offense, averaging 26.7 points per game, and has 20+ points in each of the games.
- IN THE CAA RANKS – Erdogan ranks first in the CAA in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game. The senior also ranks second in the conference in 3-point field goals per game (2.8), and 3-point field goal percentage (.402).
After UNCW and Hofstra, the Huskies will host Charleston for their Alumnae Game on Sunday, January 21 at 1 p.m.
