BOSTON — In the Huskies' final home meet of the season, the Northeastern swim and dive team will host Vermont in Barletta Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 10:30 a.m, streaming on FloSports. Prior to the meet, the team will honor its nine seniors in their last meet in Barletta for their contributions to the team.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- THANK YOU, SENIORS — The Huskies will honor seniors Coco Fraser, Katherine Hong, Jamie Koo, Sofia Long, Lizzie Meschisen, Grace Miller, Nikita Pelletier, Alyssa Reilly and Lena Wang prior to the meet's start. Throughout their four years at Northeastern, the group has led the Huskies to the best finish at the CAA Championship in school history and five new school records.
- STAY HOT! — The Huskies have won three straight meets, with two being dual meet wins over UConn and New Hampshire, and the third being a first-place finish at the Terrier Invitational for the first time since 2007. Junior diver Erin Murphy has won a diving event in three straight weeks and has garnered three CAA Diver of the Week nods this season.
- CATS AND DOGS ARE FRIENDS — The Huskies' coaching staff boasts three coaches that all swam or dove for Vermont during their collegiate careers. Diving coach Lauren Colby and assistant coach Katie Rivers came over from the Catamounts to coach at Northeastern, and last year, Parker was a graduate transfer from Vermont and helped break NU records in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay and 400 Medley Relay. She stayed with the Huskies as an assistant coach this past summer.
After wrapping up the dual meet season, the Huskies will hop on the road to the Tate Ramsden Invitational at Dartmouth College on Friday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 20.
