THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE
In a match up of high-power offense vs. rock-solid defense, the Huskies will face off with the Cougars on Saturday in a battle between one the CAA's best offenses and one if its best defenses. The Huskies rank third in the conference (38
th in the NCAA) in team GAA, while Charleston have tallied the seventh-most total goals in the country (26).
- SHUTOUT STREAK
Goalkeeper
Colby Hegarty, who owns the 17
th-lowest individual goals-against average in the country, was recently on a lengthy shutout streak that ended last Tuesday at New Hampshire after shutting out the Wildcats for 84 minutes. In total, his shutout streak lasted 280 minutes, including two back-to-back shutouts in between his last two goals allowed. He has three of Northeastern's four shutouts on the year.
- A LONG TIME COMING
The Huskies will face off with the Big Green of Dartmouth for the first time since 2016, a match in which Dartmouth took by a score of 2-0. This will be just the eighth all-time meeting between the two programs. The Big Green and Huskies have played two common opponents this season, with Dartmouth grabbing a 2-1 win over Merrimack and securing a 0-0 draw with UNH.
After next Tuesday, the Huskies stay home for another CAA Saturday at Parsons, hosting Delaware on Saturday, October 19
