THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- THE ELO EXPRESS: Freshman Éloïse Caron has posted four goals and three assists for seven points in her first six games in the NCAA. She most recently earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors after posting two goals against Boston University. Caron's seven points through six games is the best start by a Husky rookie since Kendall Coyne Schofield posted eight points in her first six games in 2011-12. In addition to her seven points being tied to lead all NCAA freshmen, her seven points and four goals are tied to lead all Hockey East players.
- LOCK IT DOWN: The Huskies penalty kill continues to be one of the best in the nation. Northeastern owns a .917 penalty killing percentage, tied for the seventh-best mark in the NCAA and first among teams with 20 or more power-play opportunities against them. The penalty kill unit killed off 11 power-play opportunities for the Terriers last weekend.Â
- PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS: Holy Cross enters this matchup following a weekend split with Boston College and at 4-2-0 overall. The Crusaders have 11 goal scorers through six games, with Emily Crovo owning a team-high three goals. Defensively, Emma Min has 20 blocks to lead all Hockey East players. Last season, Paige Taborski made her first career NCAA appearance in relief at Holy Cross on Jan. 5.
Following the Holy Cross series, Northeastern will travel to Providence on Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m.
