BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team is set to hit the road for two conference games beginning with a match at Charleston on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. The Huskies will then travel to face UNCW on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. Both games will stream live on FloFC.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- HAD SOME HELP: Jessie Hunt tied Northeastern's program record with her 25th career assist against Monmouth on Avery LeVangie's goal. Hunt tied Kayla Cappuzzo's record who played in 87 career games from 2014-17 for the Huskies. The Edina, Minnesota native recorded 25 assists in just 48 games played in a Husky uniform. Hunt also owns the single-season program record for assists with 13 set during the 2022 season.
- A LOOK AT CHARLESTON: The Cougars sit at 7-3-2 overall on the season and 0-2-1 in CAA play. Northeastern owns an all-time record of 9-1-0 against Charleston and are on a three-game winning streak. In 2023, NU won 2-0 with goals from Jessie Hunt and Lauren Ahles. Charleston's Faith Slimmer leads all CAA players with eight goals and 22 points this season.
- SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS: Northeastern is 12-8-0 against the Seahawks and won the 2023 matchup, 3-0, with Lauren Ahles scoring her first career goal and Jessie Hunt tallying a goal and an assist. UNCW will take on Hampton on Thursday before facing the Huskies and most recently defeated Drexel, 3-1. The Seahawks are 1-2-1 in conference and are led by Lexi Vegoda's nine points off two goals and five assists.
Following this road swing, Northeastern will return home to host Hofstra for its Pride Game on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.
