AMESBURY, Mass.— Senior captain
Taze Thompson of the No. 14 Northeastern women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Player of the Week as announced on Monday. This marks Thompson's first weekly honor in her career from the league.

Thompson posted five points over two games against Holy Cross, guiding the Huskies to a tie and victory over the Crusaders. Her three points off one goal and two assists in the tie at Holy Cross, tied her career-high for points in a single game. Thompson then tallied two assists in the 4-2 victory at home.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta native has posted two goals, four assists and six points on the season.

Thompson and the Huskies are back in action at Providence on Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m.
