Women’s Soccer Prepped For Final Two Regular Season Games

BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team is set for its final two games of the regular season beginning on the road at Stony Brook on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. The Huskies will then host Delaware on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. for their Halloween and Alumni Game.
 
Both games will be available to watch on FloFC. Sunday's game will also be on NESN+ and a fan bus will head to Parsons from Forsyth Street at 12:30 p.m. 
 
With the final week of CAA action, Northeastern is still on the hunt for a spot in the CAA tournament.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. LAST TIME OUT: The Huskies defeated Campbell, 4-0, to earn their second-straight shutout victory and first win at home this season. Jessie Hunt claimed her 26th career assist, and is now the program's all-time career assist leader. Goalkeeper Eliza Teplow made three saves to keep the clean sheet, while Avery LeVangie posted two goals and Jayden Newkirk and Sofie Fox each had one.
  2. A LOOK AT THE BROOK: Stony Brook has already clinched a spot in the CAA tournament and is riding a six-game unbeaten streak. Luciana Setteducate leads all CAA players with seven assists and is second with eight goals. NU is 7-3-3 all-time against Stony Brook with the two teams most recently tying, 0-0, in 2023.
  3. WHO THE HEN ARE THEY?: Delaware is still fighting for a berth into the CAA tournament and will face Towson on Thursday before the Huskies. The Blue Hens are winless in their last four games and sit at 6-6-4 overall on the season. Delaware's goalkeeper Kyla Burns averages 4.13 saves per game, the second-best mark among CAA keepers. The Blue Hens owns a 12-8-5 advantage in the all-time series against Northeastern. The two teams tied in 2023, 1-1, and Northeastern's last home win against Delaware came in 2022, 3-0.
 
This week marks the end of the regular season, as the Huskies fight for a spot in the conference tournament.
