- LOCK IT DOWN: The Huskies penalty kill continues to be one of the best in the nation. Northeastern owns a .935 penalty killing percentage, the fifth-best mark in the NCAA. Six Huskies have double-digit blocks, including senior Skylar Irving who leads all Husky forwards with 11 blocks.
- THE SKATING FRIARS: Providence sits at 4-3-0 on the season and most recently fell, 3-2, to then-No. 8/9 UConn. The Friars and Huskies have both played Quinnipiac, with each side splitting with the Bobcats. Irving posted a team-high five points in three games against the Friars last season, while junior Jules Constantinople led all defensemen with four points. NU is looking for its first win at Providence since a 4-1 victory on Oct. 28, 2022. The Friars have three players, Audrey Knapp, Hannah Johnson and Reichen Kirchmair, tied to lead the team with seven points. Hope Walinski has started six games in net for the Friars, last season she played two games against NU with a 5.06 GAA and .861 save percentage.
