Men’s Rowing Names 2024-25 Captains

BOSTON – Northeastern men's rowing head coach Alex Perkins has announced that Braden Porterfield, Jakub Kyncl, and Aidan Murphy have been named captains ahead of the 2024-25 season. The trio will be stepping into the leadership positions for the first time in their Husky careers.

"Braden, Jakub, and Aidan have been consistent competitors and have led by example since they first arrived at NU," said Perkins. "With their election as team captains, we are excited to see them lead the team for the 24-25 season. Each of them brings a strong sense of direction and purpose to the squad that will be key in developing the next step for our program."

Porterfield, Kyncl, and Murphy all competed in the Huskies' first varsity boat last season that finished ninth in the nation at the IRA Championships and picked up dual wins over UPenn (sixth-straight Burk Cup), and Boston University (Arlett Cup).

Northeastern will open its fall slate with the Head of the Charles on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20.
