Huskies Host Seahawks On Senior Night

BOSTON - The Northeastern University men's soccer team (3-5-7, 1-4-2 CAA) wraps up its 2024 season with Senior Night this Saturday, November 2nd as the Huskies host the UNCW Seahawks (5-7-4, 4-3-0 CAA) for a 6 p.m. contest at Parsons Field. The match will stream on FloFC.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

1. RED AND BLACK OCTOBER

In the last five games, the Huskies have scored over double their goals in the opening 10 contests of the year (6) with 14 goals in the month of October. Northeastern has three games this season in which it scored four or more goals, grabbing wins in all three. In the win over Delaware, the Huskies tallied six goals from six different players, which was the most goals in a game by NU since 2021. NU went 2-1-4 in the month of October.

2. HOLD THE LINE
Northeastern currently holds the top saves per game in the CAA (4.33), the second-highest save percentage (.793), and the third-lowest team GAA (1.13). The Huskies' save percentage is ranked 21st in the CAA, while their saves per game is ranked at #35.

3. SERIES WITH THE SEAHAWKS
The Seahawks come into the weekend with 12 conference points, needing a win or a draw with some help to get into the tourney. Their most recent match was on their own Senior Day, a 3-0 victory over Monmouth. The Huskies are 2-3-0 in their previous five games against the Seahawks, but they snapped a three-game losing streak in the series last season at UNCW Soccer Stadium, with a 3-1 September win.
