CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Northeastern women's basketball team (0-4) fell to the Harvard Crimson (5-1), 89-37, on Tuesday night at Lavietes Pavilion.
Harvard got off to a quick 2-0 advantage, but
Abby Jegede responded back with a basket to knot the game up. The Crimson's offense though, took off making four of its first eight field goals to take an 8-2 lead at the 6:12 mark. Harvard shot 55% overall (11-of-20) and took a 24-8 advantage into the second.
Harvard's offense continued to be the story in the second, as the Crimson shot 57.1% (8-of-14), and took a 30-point lead into halftime.
The Crimson shot 50% (8-of-16) in the third, and a blistering 64.3% (17-of-30) in the fourth to put the game out of reach for good.
The Huskies will return to the court at Wagner on Friday, November 22. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
