Northeastern To Host Bentley For Sunday Matinee

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team will play a lone Sunday matinee (Dec. 1) against the Bentley Falcons, kicking off a 3 p.m. ET. The two programs have only faced off 14 times prior to this weekend with Northeastern leading 7-5-2 and outshooting the Falcons 45-33.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. TOUGHER THAN THE REST: Assistant captain Vinny Borgesi has stepped up in his third season for the Huskies in many ways. Since the start of the 2024-25 hockey season, the defenseman leads the NCAA in TOI, averaging 28:29 minutes a game. Additionally, Borgesi leads NU with a team-high eight assists on the year and is tied for the team-high 20 blocks. In Hockey East action, Borgesi's 17 blocks rank second among all skaters.
  2. IRON CAM: In his most recent matchup with the No. 3 Boston College Eagles, sophomore Cameron Whitehead finished the game with 30 saves, marking his sixth game this season with 30+ saves. Through Hockey East action, the Ontario native leads all goaltenders with 249 saves, is ranked second in minutes played (495:07) and sits fifth overall with a .922 save percentage.
  3. IN THE DOT: Senior Ryan McGuire and junior Jack Williams have shown continuous success from the dot this season, ranking both within the league and national standings. Among all skaters in the country who have taken a minimum 200 faceoff, McGuire's 62.7 percentage is second overall while Williams comes in at eighth with a 59.6 percentage. Through 11 games this season, McGuire and/or Williams have led both the Huskies and their opponent in faceoff wins on nine occasions.
