RICHMOND, Va. - Northeastern University freshman midfielder
Ethan Kang has been selected to the 2024 CAA All-Rookie team, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. Kang appeared in all 16 games for Northeastern in his debut season, making 14 starts.
Kang notched a team-high four assists in his rookie campaign, with the team holding a 2-1-1 record when he appeared on the score sheet. He also played the fourth-most minutes on the team in 2024, bolstering the defense from the midfield with nine 90-minute efforts, three of which were shutouts for the Huskies.
Kang's All-Rookie selection marks the fifth straight season in which the program had a freshman make the All-Rookie team, dating back to 2019. Kang's teammate
Thomas Vold appeared on the All-Rookie team last season.
