NU Finishes Second To Harvard At The Foot Of The Charles

BOSTON - The Northeastern men's rowing team wrapped up its fall slate with a second-place finish to Harvard at the Foot of the Charles on Saturday morning.

"Today the team raced hard in challenging conditions on the Charles River," said head coach Alex Perkins. "We finished second to a strong Harvard team that won the head of the Charles a few weeks ago. As we move into the winter training period the team is motivated to push harder and continue developing physically. We have a young team and the racing experience this fall will be valuable in guiding our squad through the winter training period and into the spring racing season."

Racing against a tough Crimson team that was the top finisher in the 1V, 2V, and 3V at the Head of the Charles as well as Harvard lightweights, Northeastern's first varsity eight crossed the line at 12:04.8. Harvard (1V) won at 11:49.5.
The Huskies' second varsity eight finished sixth with a time of 12:24.7.
Northeastern's third varsity eight finished seventh at 12:40.5, and the fourth varsity eight crossed the line at 13:14.6 ahead of Harvard's 4V (14:34.2).
