BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (7-10, 3-4 CAA) is set for two matchups on the road this weekend, facing the Elon Phoenix (7-13, 3-4 CAA) on Friday, February 2 at 11 a.m., and then will head to North Carolina A&T (12-6, 6-1 CAA) on Sunday, February 4 at 2 p.m. Both games will stream on FloHoops.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- ROAD SUCCESS – The Huskies have won their last two CAA games on the road, winning by a score of 79-49 at UNCW on January 12, and then most recently took down Delaware, 73-66, on Friday. In the victory over the Blue Hens, Derin Erdogan tallied a team-high 15 points, and Northeastern used big first half to take down the hosts at the Bob Carpenter Center.
- DÉJÀ VU – Deja Bristol has tallied double-digit points in eight straight games, two of which were double-doubles. The senior is averaging 13.9 points per game since December 22, and 6.9 rebounds per game.
- SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS – Elon is coming off a 56-42 loss to the Aggies on Sunday, and are averaging 53.8 points per game. Junior forward Iycez Adams leads the Phoenix offense averaging 9.9 points per game, and on the boards averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. Winners of six straight, North Carolina A&T is averaging 64.7 points per game, and junior guard Jordyn Dorsey leads the Aggies, averaging 13.0 points per game.
After Elon and North Carolina A&T, the Huskies will host Monmouth in their Boston Public School Day game on Friday, February 9. Tip-off is slated for noon on NESN & FloHoops.
