BOSTON — The Northeastern track and field team sent three athletes to the Brown Invitational Saturday afternoon and graduate student
Kerem Ayhan competed at the BU DMR Challenge Friday night as the Huskies competed in a final tune-up before the CAA Championships.
- Ayhan ran a time of 1:47.86 in the 800-meter run, the second-fastest time in school history and off the school record by .02 seconds. It's the 25th-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
- At Brown, freshman Catherine Sargent threw her shot put a distance of 12.04 meters, finishing fifth in the event.
- On the men's side, sophomore Ryan Sewell earned a distance of 14.18 meters to finish fifth.
- In the women's weight throw, sophomore Liangie Calderon's first action of the season saw her toss her weight 15.04 meters.
The Huskies will hit the road for the CAA Championships, beginning Thursday at The Armory in New York, New York.
