Philips Invited To U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Fifth year goaltender Gwyneth Philips of the No. 13 Northeastern women's hockey team has been invited by USA Hockey to the 2024 U.S. Women's National Team Evaluation Camp, which will take place March 27-30 at the Lake Placid Olympic Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.
 
The 2024 U.S. Women's National Team will be named at the conclusion of camp and will compete at the IIHF Women's World Championship in Utica, N.Y., April 3-14.
 
Philips joins alums Aerin Frankel, Kendall Coyne Schofield and Hayley Scamurra at camp. Additionally, assistant coach Melissa Piacentini will serve as a video coach.
 
Players will be split into two teams and will compete in practices and scrimmages during the four-day camp. The group will also face Czechia in a pre-tournament game on March 30 at 7 p.m. ET at the Lake Placid Olympic Center as part of the evaluation process.
