Exilhomme Named First Team All-American At NCAA Championships

BOSTON — Junior Ethan Exilhomme was named an NCAA First Team All-American after he finished 8th in the 60m hurdles at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with his 7.82 time at the Track at New Balance on Saturday evening.

Exilhomme was the first NCAA Indoor Championships competitor since Paul Duffey in 2015 and was just the 14th Husky athlete to race at the Indoor Championships. His 8th place finish was the best since pole vaulter Laura Chmielewski's 6th-place finish in 2005.

The Tewksbury, Massachusetts native qualified for the event with a 7.65 time in his preliminary heat on Friday, finishing second and earning an automatic qualification to the final. He set the school record in the event earlier this season, running a 7.60 to break his own previous record.

Exilhomme earned All-American Honorable Mention honors in the 110m hurdles at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships after finishing 17th.

His finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships caps off the Huskies' indoor season. In one of the most historic indoor seasons the Huskies have had, they won the CAA Men's and Women Indoor Championships and broke 14 program records, sending an athlete to the NCAA Indoor Championships for the first time in 11 years.
