Borovicka-Swanson, Duggan and Meyers Break Records At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA — Seniors Azza Borovicka-Swanson and Ava Duggan and graduate student Isa Meyers highlighted a big night for the Northeastern track & field at the Penn Relays' distance night on Thursday, with all three runners setting school records.
  • Duggan kicked off the night with a time of 4:15.37 in the 1500m, finishing fifth as she broke the school record and was under a second away from the CAA record. The time is the best in the CAA this season and is 28th in the NCAA East Region.
  • Borovicka-Swanson blazed past her personal best in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:05.90. That is not only a school record, but is also under the U.S. Olympic Trials minimum qualifying standard. • Meyers notched the first 10,000m time below 34 minutes in Northeastern history with a 33:59.48 in the event, finishing 11th and breaking Northeastern's school record by over 30 seconds.
  • On top of Duggan's 1500m time, senior Abigail Hassman posted a 4:18.60 mark to move into second All-Time at Northeastern. She finished ninth in the event with the third-fastest time in the CAA this year.
