BOSTON – The Northeastern men's rowing team is set to kick off postseason action at Eastern Sprints this Sunday, May 19 on Lake Quinsigamond. The Huskies are slated to begin racing in morning heats at 8:20 a.m. (4V), 8:50 a.m. (3V), 9:02 a.m. (1V), and 10:36 a.m. (2V).
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. LAST TIME OUT – Northeastern last raced on April 24, giving No. 1 Harvard all it can handle, falling by 2.5 seconds for the Smith Cup. The Huskies held onto a lead until 750 meters to go until the Crimson began to make a move in the final stretch. Harvard pulled ahead by six seats and crossed the line at 6:03.9.
2. SPRINTS REWIND – Last season, the first varsity went up against strong teams in the morning heats, which included Yale (grand final winner), and Brown. Northeastern went stroke for stroke with the Bears for the second spot, but the Bears crossed the line at 5:30.230 in a photo finish. The Huskies bounced back later in the day, winning the petite final with a time of 5:35.020.
3. LOOKING AHEAD – The Huskies will close out their spring season at the IRA Championships at Mercer Lake in New Jersey on Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2.
