COLORADO SPRINGS -- Following the in-person tryout on June 16, Northeastern field hockey rising senior
Maria Armaganian has been named to the 2024-25 Senior U.S. Women's National Indoor Team.
"It is heartwarming to see the huge interest of so many players in the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team Program," commented Jun Kentwell, Indoor USWNT Head Coach. "I was very pleased that there were so many new faces and talented players at the tryouts which made our selections very difficult. There are exciting times are ahead in December. There will be a selection camp where development squad players will be vying with the senior team for places on the Indoor World Cup Team."
Armaganian started 15 of the 18 games she played in last season for Northeastern, finishing tied for sixth on the team with 10 points (two goals, six assists. Her six assists were good for third on the team and ninth in the conference, thanks in part to a five-game point streak midway through the year. The Concord, N.H. native was also named the CAA Player of the Week in September.
Multiple training camps will take place for the indoor program between now and March 2025, with the senior squad participating in the RohrMax Cup from December 30 to January 6 in Vienna, Austria ahead of the 2025 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in Poreč, Croatia.
