Huskies Announce 2024 Captains

BOSTON— Head coach Ashley Phillips of the Northeastern women's soccer team has announced the student-athletes that will comprise the 2024 leadership group for the 2024 season. Jessie Hunt and Faith Rosenblatt will serve as captains, while Avery LeVangie and Megan Putvinski were named assistant captains.

"I am thrilled to announce Faith, Jessie, Avery and Megan as our captains for the 2024 season," remarked Phillips. "They are a great group of people with a variety of leadership skills that give them the tools to be amazing leaders of this team. Their various experiences throughout their college careers along with their commitment, dedication and drive have garnered them the respect and support of their peers. The staff and I are confident that these four have what it takes to motivate and guide this group through the 2024 season."

Hunt and Rosenblatt each served as assistant captains for the Huskies in 2023, and will now hold the title of co-captains. LeVangie and Putvinski will each be serving in the leadership group for the first time this season.

The quartet has helped the Huskies to appearances in the CAA Tournament each of the last three seasons. Northeastern was picked to finish fourth in the CAA Preseason Poll and earned one first-place vote.

The Huskies open their 2024 slate at Boston University on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m.
