Women’s Soccer Set To Host Brown, Elon

BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team will host Brown in its final non-conference game of the season on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. The Huskies will then open CAA play as Elon comes to Parsons Field on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m.

Both games will stream live on FloFC.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. HEY TO THE CAA: The Huskies were picked to finish fourth in the CAA, receiving one first-place vote. Jessie Hunt was named to the Preseason All-CAA team and Faith Rosenblatt claimed honorable mention accolades. Northeastern is riding a 13-season streak of making the CAA tournament.
  2. A LOOK AT THE BEARS: Northeastern and Brown are meeting for the 11th time in program history on Thursday and for the first time since 2022. In 2022, the two teams tied with Jessie Hunt assisting on the game-tying goal in the 89th minute. The Bears own a 8-1-1 edge in the all-time series. Brown is 2-2-3 on the season and most recently dropped a 2-0 contest to then-No. 20 Ohio State.
  3. SCOUTING THE PHOENIX: Elon sits undefeated on the season at 5-0-1 and will also be opening CAA play on Sunday. The Huskies own a 5-3-2 record against Elon most recently defeating the Phoenix, 2-1, last season. In 2023, Megan Putvinski and Katherine Marchesseault scored with Hunt picking up two assists to lead the Huskies. Isa Murdock leads all Elon players with four goals, her two game-winning goals lead all CAA players this season.
Northeastern will next hit the road to face Towson on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
