BOSTON - The Northeastern University men's soccer team (1-4-4, 0-3-0 CAA) continues its stint of road games as the Huskies take on conference foe Stony Brook (1-4-2, 0-2-1 CAA) on Friday afternoon, and non-conference foe New Hampshire (2-2-2, 0-0-0 AE) on Tuesday evening. Friday's kick off is scheduled for 3 p.m. on FloFC, while Tuesday's game will take place at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
1. HOLD THE LINE
The Northeastern defense has allowed one goal or less in seven of its nine games this season for a 1.00 goals against average and three shutouts. That's good for the fifth-lowest GAA in the CAA, and three shutouts is tied for the third-most in the conference.
Â
2. DOWN ON LONG ISLAND
The Huskies head to Long Island to face Stony Brook for just the third time since the Seawolves joined the CAA in 2022 – Northeastern has a 1-0-1 record against Stony Brook in CAA play, and 7-3-1 all-time. While NU is looking for its first conference points of the season, Stony Brook earned a conference point on the road at Monmouth in a 2-2 draw. The two conference losses for the Seawolves were against Charleston at home and Elon on the road.

3. SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Northeastern's second-to-last non-conference game takes place in Durham, N.H. next Tuesday evening against Northeast powerhouse New Hampshire. The Wildcats enter their first conference weekend with a 2-2-2 record, with wins over Princeton and William & Mary. New Hampshire has a 1-1-0 record against CAA teams this season, falling by a score of 1-0 at #12 Hofstra earlier this month. The Wildcats are on an eight-game winning streak in the all-time series between the two programs.
