Northeastern Heads Back On The Road To UNCW, Charleston

BOSTON — Off to a 2-2 start to league play, the Northeastern men's basketball team is back in action for a pair of road tests this weekend at UNCW (Thursday, 7 p.m.) and Charleston (Saturday, 5 p.m.). Both games will be streamed on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. SERIES HISTORY VS. THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS
Northeastern and UNCW are meeting for the 35th time, with the series tied 17-17. The Seahawks have won the last four meetings, with the Huskies in search of their first win in Wilmington since 2019.

Charleston, meanwhile, owns a 12-11 edge in the series with the Huskies including five straight victories dating back to 2022.

2. ROAD DOGS
Northeastern is in the midst of a four-game road swing and has already won six games away from Boston this season, the most since 2019-20 when it won 10 road/neutral site games. The Huskies are averaging 68.5 points per game and shooting 44% as a team on the road, with five players averaging double figures, led by Rashad King's 17.6 ppg.

3. WELCOME BACK, MASAI
Masai Troutman is second on the team averaging 14.2 points per game, shooting 45% overall and 43% from three despite missing time at two points this season due to injury.

He's reached double figures in nine of the 11 games he's played, including a career-high 22 points on Jan. 11 at Stony Brook. Troutman went 14-of-15 from the free throw line against the Seawolves, tied for the 10th most makes in a game in school history, and the most for a Husky since 2012.
