HANOVER, N.H. – The Northeastern women's swimming & diving team concluded the Tate Ramsden Invitational with three more records, earning a 256-79 win over UMass, and a 180-156 win over hosts Dartmouth.
- Senior Hannah Seward started day two with a win and pool record in the 100 Yard Fly. The captain set a time of 54.45 to break the record by .23 seconds. Sophomore May Bradburn, the previous pool record holder, finished right behind Seward, touching the wall at 54.83.
- Senior Devon Muldoon continued the winning, taking first place in the 400 IM with a 4:29.03 mark. Senior Francesca Arciniegas earned fifth with a time of 4:38.60.
- In the 200 Yard Free, Seward (1:51.67), graduate student Emily Gjertsen (1:52.17), and junior Kotoko Blair (1:55.72) all rounded out the top five with third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
- Junior Elisabeth Bendall was runner-up in the 100 Yard Breast, touching the wall at 1:04.41. Senior Stella Urness (1:05.96), Arciniegas (1:06.84), and senior Nicole Linell (1:06.90) followed to round out the top five.
- Junior Anna Verlander finished runner-up in the 100 Yard Back, setting a time of 55.63. Senior Kate Cosgrove (56.21) and junior Teagan Osga (56.75) earned fourth and fifth in the race.
- The 200 Yard Medley saw Northeastern's A-Team, comprised of Cosgrove, Bendall, Seward, and Bradburn, finish second, swimming a 1:43.22. The B-Team, made up of freshman Delaney Alonso, Urness, sophomore Mary Nordmann, and graduate student Caroline Mahoney followed right behind, setting a time of 1:44.03 to finish third.
- On the diving boards, senior Erin Murphy cruised to a win in the 1M Dive, recording a score of 277.85.
- Gjertsen continued her dominance from yesterday, setting a pool record in the 1650 Yard Free. The New York native swam a 16:58.69 to win the event, and sophomore Bella Busconi earned fourth with a 17:24.61.
- The record-breaking continued, as Verlander set a pool record in the 200 Yard Back with a time of 1:59.44 to earn first place. Osga finished second with a 2:02.50, and Muldoon grabbed fourth with a 2:03.33.
- Mahoney added another win in the 100 Yard Free with a mark of 51.37, while Blair touched the wall .56 seconds later to take third.
- Bendall and Urness tied for third in the 200 Yard Breast after setting a time of 2:22.40.
- Seward grabbed Northeastern's final victory in the 200 Yard Fly, touching the wall at 2:04.70.
The Huskies return to Barletta Natatorium for senior day and their final home meet this season. The meet will take place on Saturday, January 25th at 1 p.m. and be available to stream on FloSwimming.
