Â
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
Â
1. SERIES HISTORY VS. THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS
Northeastern and Hampton are meeting for the third time since the Pirates joined the CAA two seasons ago, with the Huskies winning each of the two previous matchups.
Â
The Huskies own a 13-7 advantage in the all-time series with Elon, including a pair of victories in a home-and-home set last season highlighted by
Bill Coen's CAA record breaking victory on Jan. 20, 2024.
Â
2. (J)UST (B)UCKETS
JB Frankel has been lights out in league play, and is fourth on the team averaging 11.6 points per game, shooting 51% overall and 48% from three.
Â
Frankel has started six of the last seven games, including his first career start on Jan. 4 against Hofstra. He's also reached double figures three times in the last four games, including a career-high 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting on Jan. 23 against Drexel.
Â
3. BLOCK PARTY
After recording 107 blocks in 32 games last season, Northeastern already has 98 in 21 games in 2024-25. Junior
Collin Metcalf's 2.1 blocks per game are 18th in the NCAA, while his 45 total blocks are 13th in the nation, second in the CAA, eighth on Northeastern's single-season record list and the most for a Husky since 2013-14.
