Â
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
Â
1. SERIES HISTORY VS. THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS
Northeastern leads the all-time series with Towson, 29-21. The teams split the season series in 2024, including a 67-59 Northeastern victory in Boston. Each of the last six meetings have been decided by single digits.
Â
Stony Brook, meanwhile, leads the series with Northeastern 10-8. The Seawolves won all three meetings last season, including a victory at the CAA Championship in Washington, D.C.
Â
2. ON THE GLASS
NU has outrebounded its opponents nine times this season, going 6-3 in those contests. Northeastern has pulled down 40+ rebounds four times this season, including both games in conference play.
Â
The Huskies dominated the glass on Jan. 2 vs. Delaware, 49-28, including 22 offensive boards, the most in a game since Dec. 20, 2011 vs. Louisiana Tech.Â
Â
3. LOCKDOWN DEFENSE
Northeastern has allowed an opponent to shoot 50% or better just once this season, and has held opponents to below 40% four times.
Â
Huskies' opponents are shooting 42.6% overall (fifth in the CAA) and 33% from three point range.
