BOSTON -- The Northeastern University men's soccer team (2-6-2, 1-4-0 CAA) returns home to host the Monmouth Hawks (5-4-2, 2-1-2 CAA) for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, Oct. 11. On Tuesday, Oct. 14 the team will travel down the road to Boston University (7-3-0, 3-1-0 Patriot League). Saturday's game will stream on FloCollege and Tuesday's game will be available on ESPN+.
- SCOUTING REPORT: The Huskies face the Hawks for their second meeting of the season. In the previous game, the Huskies took a 2-1 win over Monmouth. Goals in the first came from Neil Devnani in the 34th minute and Morris Matthews in the 42nd minute, giving Northeastern a two-goal lead at half time. In the all time series, Monmouth holds a one game lead over the Huskies, 1-2-0.
- BATTLE OF BOSTON: Northeastern will travel to crosstown rival Boston University's Nickerson Field on Tuesday. Boston U. is coming off of a three-game win streak, including a win over No. 24 Bucknell in a close 3-2 battle. The Terriers hold more wins in the overall series, with 22, while the Huskies have taken 10 and the teams sharing four ties.
- CLUTCH KEEPER: The Huskies goalkeeper, Tobias Jahn, has played a key role for Northeastern so far this season. The graduate student has earned a second place spot in the CAA saves per game stat. Jahn is averaging 4.10 saves per contest. The Germany native has a season high 41 saves this season, almost doubling his previous season saves.
Looking ahead, the Huskies face Drexel at home on Saturday, Oct. 18 for Senior Day.
