Teplow, Bartlett Claim CAA Weekly Honors

RICHMOND, Va.— Junior Eliza Teplow and freshman Nicole Bartlett of the Northeastern women's soccer team claimed weekly honors from the CAA as announced on Monday. Teplow was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Barlett earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors.

The duo was key to Northeastern posting a 1-0 shutout victory over CAA foe Stony Brook. The win was the Huskies' second shutout of the season and first CAA victory.

Teplow tied her career-high with nine saves against the Seawolves.  Teplow registered stops on nine of Stony Brook's 15 total shots. It marked her second shutout of the season and her second weekly honor.

Bartlett notched her first collegiate goal in the 1-0 victory over Stony Brook. Barlett's game-winning tally came in the 29th minute, getting a right foot off the cross from senior Sabrina Araujo-Elorza and going bar down for the goal. This marked her first weekly honor from the CAA.

Teplow, Bartlett and the Huskies are back in action at William & Mary on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
