NU Hosts Drexel And Albany

BOSTON - The Northeastern University men's soccer team (3-6-3, 1-3-1 CAA) wraps up home conference play with Senior Night this Saturday, Oct. 18 as the Huskies host the Drexel (4-3-0, 2-2-1 CAA) for a 1 p.m. contest at Parsons Field. The Huskies will then look to play Albany (3-5-3) for their final home game on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. Both matches will stream live on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

1. SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: 
Northeastern will be celebrating four Huskies on Senior Day– Tobias Jahn, Kade Tepe, Morris Matthews, and Fraser Brown. As a goalkeeper, Tobias has made 49 saves this season giving him a 0.742 save percentage. Kade has played in eleven games and started all of them for the defensive unit. As a midfielder, Morris impressively played all 90 minutes against Holy Cross. Lastly, the New Zealand native and forward, Fraser has racked up 29 points over his career at Northeastern.

2. DAWGS AND DRAGONS The Huskies battled the Dragons earlier this season, ending in a close 2-1 loss. The team got their only goal from a turnover in the attacking third that fell to Jaden Prado, who set up Morris Matthews for a long distance shot that rattled off the crossbar and in. Northeastern currently holds the all-time series lead 15-14-4. 

3. SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES: The Great Danes enter the competition with the Huskies with five ties on the season, one less than Northeastern's six. The two teams will meet for only the eighth time in program history on Tuesday, and first time since 2009, a 1-0 OT win for NU. Ivar Gissurarson leads Albany with four goals and nine points. 

The Huskies will play their final game of the regular season at Stony Brook on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
