Huskies Travel To Rhode Island To Compete

BOSTON — The Northeastern women's swimming and diving team (1-0) will travel to Kingston, R.I. to compete against Rhode Island this Saturday, Oct. 18, at 12 p.m. 

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. CATS AND DAWGS — The Huskies have competed once this season, thus far. Northeastern faced Vermont where the team took a 192 - 108 win. The Huskies won twelve of the events. A highlight was senior Anelise Kim winning both the 3M and the 1M Dive. 

  2. FRESHMAN PHENOMS — Northeastern gained eleven freshman for the 2025-26 season. The freshman proved their spot on the team with multiple wins. Abigail Gowern won both the 500 Free and the 1000 Free. Sophie Bromley took home the win in the 100 Back and Alex Fuller took home the 100 Fly. Additionally, Alexandra Campion won the 200 IM, Marea Li won the 200 Breast, and Siena Griffiths won the 200 Free.

  3. HISTORY IN THE POOL — Last year, Northeastern went up against URI at home where the team took a 169-124 victory. In the meet, junior May Bradburn had a successful day. Bradburn took victory in the 100 Yard Free with a recorded time of 52.4, as well as a win in the 100 Yard Butterfly, touching the wall at 56.05 to secure the 169-124 team win for the Huskies. 

The Huskies will be back in the pool to compete on Friday, Oct. 24 in a dual meet against MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, Mass.
