RICHMOND, Va. — Junior Mary Nordmann and freshman Kailyn Aquino earned CAA Swimmer of the Week and CAA Diver of the Week awards, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. The two greatly contributed to the Huskies win against Rhode Island on Saturday, 156-143. 

Nordmann, a native of The Woodlands, Texas, competed in two solo races at the meet in Kingston, R.I, winning both of them. The junior touched the wall first in the 50 free with a time of 24.06 and also claimed the 100 fly with a time of 56.92. Nordmann was also a member of the Huskies' 200 medley relay team that placed third.

Aquino secured third place on the 1-meter board with a score of 256.35 during Northeastern's win over Rhode Island. The freshman from Haverhill, Massachusetts also earned 238.05 points in the 3-meter event, finishing fourth. 

The Huskies will be back in the pool to compete locally at MIT for the dual meet between the Beavers and the Harvard Crimson on Friday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
