WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Northeastern volleyball team returns to the road this weekend for a pair of conference games against William & Mary. The Huskies' first match will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 24. The second match is slated for Saturday, October 25 at 1 p.m. There will be no livestream available for either game at William & Mary.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. WILLIAM & MARY VS. NORTHEASTERN HISTORY - Northeastern holds the record edge over the Tribe at 28-11 all-time. The teams faced off last season, where the Huskies topped the Tribe 3-2 and 3-0 on home court. Brynn Smith led the way for Northeastern in the 3-0 win, tallying 13 kills, nine digs, and three blocks.
2. SEASON STAT LEADERS - Freshman Emma Rowell continues to be the Huskies' go-to attack, registering a team-high 179 kills. Middle-hitter Beatrice Gennari leads the team with 68.0 blocks this season, averaging 1.00 per set. On the passing front, first-year Sofia King leads Northeastern with 333 total assists thus far. Senior Nadia Koanui has been a force holding down the back-court tabbing a team high 302 digs, 4.38 per set on a .960 percentage.
3. CAA STAT LEADER BOARD - Junior Beatrice Gennari (No. 1) continues to lead the conference in hitting percentage, with a .392 clip. The junior has the highest registered attack percentage in the 2025 CAA season with a 0.8 against Stony Brook on Sept. 20. Gennari has moved into the fourth slot of blocks per set in the CAA, averaging 1.00. First-year Sofia King has moved into the seventh spot in assists per set with an average of 5.84. Senior Nadia Koanui has moved into the fourth slot in digs per set with 4.38. As a team, the Huskies are No. 3 in blocks per set (2.28) and No. 3 in assists per set (12.22). The Huskies are tied in the seventh slot in the conference, fighting for a ticket to the playoffs within the top 6.
Northeastern comes back to Boston for Halloweekend, celebrating the holiday as well as Alumni and senior day. On Saturday, November 1, the Huskies host Hampton with a 1 p.m. slotted start time and theme of Halloween. On Sunday, November 2, the Huskies will be celebrating senior day as well as welcoming back their alumni.
