Dedham, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team (8-6, 3-1 CAA) defeated the Drexel Dragons (9-7, 2-2 CAA) on Friday afternoon at Dedham Field, 1-0. The lone goal was scored by senior
Emilia Adragna.
- The game started with a scoreless first quarter for both teams. Drexel tallied four shots while the Huskeis tallied one.
- In the second quarter, the Huskies turned things around. Northeastern added a goal to the scoreboard when senior Emilia Adragna's initial shot was saved by Drexel, but she quickly followed up with a rebound that found the back of the net.
- The Dragons received three penalty corner attempts, and the Huskies received one in the third. However, both teams weren't able to convert the attempts.
- In the fourth and final quarter, no goals were had. The game came down to an impressive two saves that Northeastern's Arabella Loveridge made in the final minutes.
Next up, the Huskies face Boson University on Sunday, Oct. 26 for Senior day at 12 p.m.
