BOSTON – The Northeastern field hockey team (9–6) closed out its regular season home slate with a 3–1 victory over Boston University (5–10) on Sunday afternoon at Dedham Field. The Huskies struck early and carried their first-half momentum to secure their ninth win of the season on senior day.
- The game started strong for the Huskies with a rocket from senior Emilia Adragna on a penalty corner attempt in the first quarter. The goal was assisted by sophomore Camille Armaganian.
- The Huskies exploded offensively with two quick goals — senior Laine Ambrose found the back of the cage off an assist from junior Alex Mega at 17:47, followed by Adragna's second of the day just two minutes later with helpers from Mega and senior Ashley Pappas, extending the lead to 3–0 before halftime.
- In the third quarter, Boston University got on the board as Molly Driscoll scored unassisted at 43:46, cutting the deficit to 3–1.
- Northeastern's defense held firm in the final frame, anchored by goalkeepers Arabella Loveridge and Ibby Welldon, to secure the victory.
Next up, the Huskies travel to Monmouth University to play on Friday, Oct. 31 and then to Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 2.
