West Long Branch, N.J.— The women's field hockey team (9-7, 3-2 CAA) fell to the No. 12 Monmouth Hawks (12-3, 5-0 CAA), 4-1 in their final regular season conference game.
Emmy Stubbs scored the Huskies lone goal and
Arabella Loveridge made a season high ten saves.
- The Hawks struck early, building a decisive lead in the first half. Sophomore Maia McCourt opened the scoring at 14:19, off assists from Florence Van Doorn and Lauren Relik to give Monmouth a 1–0 advantage.
- Just over ten minutes later, in the second quarter, Van Doorn added to the tally at 25:46, finishing a setup from Relik to double the Hawks' lead.
- Monmouth continued to apply pressure, and in the third quarter, Claire Campen converted a third goal with assists from Van Doorn and Relik, making it 3–0.
- Northeastern's Emmy Stubbs, a senior forward, broke through in the second half with a goal at 36:56 off a penalty corner attempt.
- In the fourth, Monmouth found the back of the net for the final time. Milla Frye scored on a penalty stroke.
- Northeastern goaltender Arabella Loveridge made a season high ten saves in net.
Following Friday's action, the team travels to Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 2 to play their final regular season game at 11 a.m..
