Men's Hockey Returns To League Play Against No. 11/10 BC

BOSTON, Mass. — Northeastern returns to Hockey East play this week with a home-and-home series against No. 11/10 Boston College. The Huskies open the series Thursday night at Conte Forum before returning to Matthews Arena on Friday, with both games set for 7 p.m. puck drops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. FAMILIAR FOES: Since the arrival of Northeastern's Class of 2025, Northeastern and Boston College have been evenly matched with a 4-4-2 record. Junior Dylan Hryckowian leads all current Huskies in career points against the Eagles with six (3g, 3a), while sophomore Joe Connor has contributed two points (1g, 1a).
  2. A DECADE DEFINEDWith its 4-2 win over No. 11 UMass on Oct. 17, 2025, Northeastern earned the 1,100th victory in program history. Reflecting on the past decade, Northeastern owns a 190-134-32 overall record and a105-94-23 mark in Hockey East play. During that span, the Huskies have recorded 54 wins over ranked opponents, including three victories against teams ranked No. 1 nationally.
  3. AY, AY CAPTAINCaptain Vinny Borgesi led all of college hockey last season with 28:04 average ice time per game and is currently pacing the nation again this season through the first four weeks (27:29). Recently, he earned his first league honor of the season as Hockey East Defender of the Week following NU's 4-2 upset of No. 11 UMass.
