Williamsburg, Va. — The Northeastern field hockey team (5-4) headed south for another CAA match up, where
Laine Ambrose netted two goals to lead the Huskies to a 3-1 victory over William & Mary.
- The Huskies struck first and fast, as senior Emmy Stubbs found the back of the net 2:48 into the first period. The goal was assisted by fellow senior, Maya Prasad.
- An active second period began with a goal from graduate student Laine Ambrose, assisted by junior Alex Mega. The Tribe answered with a goal of their own from Amelia Morgan on a penalty stroke. The final goal of the period came again from Laine Ambrose, assisted by senior Emilia Adragna.
- The third period saw no goals.
- The fourth period was again scoreless. The Huskies played a strong match leading the shots with thirteen, the Tribe with four.
Northeastern will travel home to Dedham Field to host Boston College for the Beat Cancer Game on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 12 p.m.
