College Park, Md. — The Northeastern women's field hockey team (9-7, 3-2 CAA) closed out regular season play on Sunday, falling 4–0 to No. 11 Maryland (10-7, 5-3 B1G). Despite the scoreline, the Huskies battled throughout, highlighted by a standout performance in goal from graduate student 
Arabella Loveridge.
	- The Terrapins opened the scoring early, striking at 4:48 in the first quarter as Maddie Vasilios finished a feed from Brinkley Eyre to make it 1–0.
 
	- Maryland doubled the lead late in the second frame when Josie Hollamon found the back of the cage at 19:52 off a setup from Annemijn Klijnhout.
 
	- Both defenses tightened in the third quarter, with Northeastern holding Maryland off the scoreboard for nearly 30 minutes of play.
 
	- The Terrapins broke through again in the fourth, adding goals at 48:18 and 50:38 to secure the win.
 
	- Northeastern generated four shots in the contest, including two on target — both from sophomore Juana Gonzalez-Peyru.
 
	- Arabella Loveridge delivered a stellar performance in the cage, turning away a career-best this season, 12 saves on 16 shots on goal, including multiple stops on penalty corners and point-blank opportunities. Defensively, the Huskies weathered heavy Maryland pressure throughout, facing 28 total shots and 15 penalty corners. 
 
With regular season play now complete, the Huskies will shift focus to postseason action as they prepare for the CAA Tournament. The Huskies earned the No. 2 seed and will face Drexel University on Friday at 1 p.m. at Monmouth University, the tournament host.
